These Terms of Service ("Legal Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Glen Street Labs LLC (doing business as WeddingBot), a company registered in Virginia, United States ("Company," "we," "us," "our"), governing your access to and use of https://askweddingbot.com and related services (the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Legal Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

The Services are intended for users 18 years of age or older.

1. OUR SERVICES

WeddingBot is a wedding guest communication platform. Couples and wedding planners use it to set up a dedicated phone number that guests can text with questions. An AI assistant automatically responds to guests using the couple's event details (ceremony time, venue, dress code, etc.). Planners may also send transactional SMS updates to opted-in guests (e.g., reminders, schedule changes).

The Services are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the US, you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We own or are licensed to use all intellectual property in the Services, including source code, designs, text, graphics, and trademarks. Subject to these Legal Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for their intended purpose.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the Services without our prior written permission. Any breach of these intellectual property rights will terminate your right to use the Services immediately.

3. USER REPRESENTATIONS

By using the Services, you represent and warrant that: (1) all registration information you submit is true and accurate; (2) you will maintain the accuracy of such information; (3) you have the legal capacity to agree to these Legal Terms; (4) you are at least 18 years old; (5) you will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose; and (6) your use will not violate any applicable law or regulation.

4. USER REGISTRATION

You may need to register to access certain parts of the Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at hello@askweddingbot.com.

5. PURCHASES AND PAYMENT

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method for all applicable fees. All prices are in US dollars. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS

Billing and Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Free Trial

We may offer a 14-day free trial to new users. Your chosen subscription plan will be charged at the end of the trial period.

Cancellation

All purchases are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. For questions, email hello@askweddingbot.com.

Fee Changes

We may change subscription fees and will communicate price changes in accordance with applicable law.

7. SMS TEXT MESSAGING

Important: By opting in to receive SMS messages through WeddingBot, you expressly consent to receive automated text messages to your mobile number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

Program Description

WeddingBot's SMS program enables:

  • Guest Q&A: Guests who have opted in may text a WeddingBot number to ask event-related questions (e.g., ceremony time, venue, dress code). An AI assistant responds automatically using information provided by the couple/planner.
  • Event updates: Planners may send transactional SMS updates to opted-in guests, such as schedule reminders, venue changes, or logistics information.
  • Planner alerts: Planners may receive SMS notifications when a guest question requires human follow-up.

All SMS messages are transactional or customer care in nature. WeddingBot does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

How to Opt In

Guests opt in via a dedicated web form at https://askweddingbot.com/invite (linked from the couple's Save the Date or wedding website). The form shows the specific wedding event and requires:

  • First name, last name, and mobile phone number.
  • A required checkbox confirming consent to receive SMS messages about that specific wedding event.

Consent is event-specific and cannot be submitted without checking the consent box. Planners/couples using the platform agree to obtain and document guest consent before sending any messages.

Opt-Out (STOP)

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one final confirmation SMS and will receive no further messages from that number. To re-subscribe, complete the opt-in form again.

Help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any message to receive service information and opt-out instructions. You may also email hello@askweddingbot.com.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the wedding event and the questions guests ask. Typical usage is low volume (a few messages per event).

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data Sharing

No mobile opt-in data or consent information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors who provide SMS delivery services, subject to confidentiality obligations.

Planner Obligations

Planners and couples using WeddingBot to send SMS messages to guests agree to: (1) obtain express prior consent from all recipients before sending messages; (2) provide clear opt-out instructions in every message; (3) honor opt-out requests immediately; (4) send only event-related, non-marketing content; and (5) comply with all applicable laws, including the TCPA and CTIA guidelines.

8. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

You may not use the Services to:

  • Send SMS messages without the recipient's express prior consent.
  • Send marketing, promotional, or spam messages.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse any person.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Services.
  • Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the Services in unauthorized ways.
  • Collect or harvest personal information from other users without authorization.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
  • Use the Services for any purpose other than wedding event communications.

9. USER GENERATED CONTRIBUTIONS

Any event details, messages, or content you submit through the Services are your responsibility. You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use it as necessary to provide the Services.

10. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND CONTENT

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of third-party sites. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.

11. SERVICES MANAGEMENT

We reserve the right to monitor the Services for violations of these Legal Terms and to take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating accounts that violate these terms.

12. PRIVACY POLICY

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Legal Terms. By using the Services, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

13. TERM AND TERMINATION

These Legal Terms remain in effect while you use the Services. We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without notice, for breach of these Legal Terms or any applicable law. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.

14. MODIFICATIONS AND INTERRUPTIONS

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Services at any time without notice. We are not liable for any interruption, modification, or discontinuation of the Services.

15. GOVERNING LAW

These Legal Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Informal Negotiations

Before initiating any formal dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days by written notice.

Binding Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class action proceedings. Arbitration will take place in Virginia unless otherwise required by AAA rules.

Exceptions

Claims to enforce intellectual property rights, allegations of theft or unauthorized use, and claims for injunctive relief are not subject to the arbitration requirement.

Time Limit

Any dispute must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action arises.

17. DISCLAIMER

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

18. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

19. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Glen Street Labs LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from: (1) your use of the Services; (2) your breach of these Legal Terms; (3) your violation of any third-party rights; or (4) any SMS messages you send through the platform.

20. USER DATA

You are responsible for the data you transmit through the Services. We perform regular backups but are not liable for loss or corruption of your data. You waive any claims against us arising from data loss.

21. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS, TRANSACTIONS, AND SIGNATURES

By using the Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from us. All agreements, notices, and disclosures provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement for written communication.

22. CALIFORNIA USERS AND RESIDENTS

If you are a California resident with an unresolved complaint, you may contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210.

23. MISCELLANEOUS

These Legal Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right. If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be severed from these Legal Terms and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. We may assign our rights and obligations at any time. You may not assign your rights without our prior written consent.
